Amidst a macro divergence where Gold hits record highs and BTC retreats,while the RWA and stablecoin sectors see significant structural growth.

1. BTC retreats to the $86,000 mark while Spot Gold breaks $5,000/oz for the first time, widening the divergence between crypto and precious metals. Meanwhile, the NY Fed conducted a rare rate check on USD/JPY, viewed by the market as a signal of potential joint intervention; the Yen surged nearly 2% on Friday, its largest daily gain in six months.

2. Nasdaq has filed with the SEC to remove the 25,000-contract position limit on Bitcoin and Ethereum spot ETF options, with a decision expected by the end of February.

3. Coinbase CEO stated at Davos that "tokenization" is now a focal point, with multiple Fortune 500 companies and top banks viewing crypto as a core opportunity, signaling potential major progress in 2026.

4. UBS plans to launch crypto trading services for its private banking clients and is currently selecting partners; the group manages approximately $4.7 trillion in assets.

5. RWA TVL has grown by ~$2 billion since the start of 2026, surpassing $19.2 billion in total; Tether Gold, Ondo, and Securitize each now exceed $2 billion in TVL.

6. Crypto exchanges including Binance, OKX, and Kraken are advancing tokenized US stock products, with Ondo and xStocks serving as key infrastructure providers.

7. Tether accounted for 41.9% ($5.2 billion) of all crypto protocol revenue in 2025; stablecoin-related entities contributed 65.7% of the top ten's revenue, with Tron ranking second at $3.5 billion.

8. Stablecoins saw $35 trillion in on-chain settlement last year, yet real payments totaled only $380 billion, representing less than 0.02% of the global payments market.

9. Former UN Under-Secretary-General Vera Songwe noted at Davos that stablecoins are becoming a faster, cheaper remittance alternative in Africa, seeing active use by SMEs in Egypt and Nigeria.

10. BitMEX co-founder Arthur Hayes claims that if Japan intervenes in FX markets and the Fed expands its balance sheet, it will be extremely bullish for Bitcoin.
